I’ll Let You Tell Him He is Not Worth It…

First off, you will see that the website looks different and you have not seen any posts in a while. I felt I was extremely limited in where I could go with the other website program I was using so with some great assistance I have made a change. It doesn’t look like much now, but I have some big plans ahead of me. Well, on to my story…
I want to tell you about a man. While I do not know very much about him, I feel I know enough to make my point. The man is between the ages of 70-80 years old. He is not afraid to talk to a stranger, and share some of the experiences he has encountered throughout his life. He has a family that he cares very much about, at least for sure 1 son that lives a good distance away but that he is very proud of and talks to every chance he gets. The man appreciates what he has in life, and respects what has allowed him to have it. What I mean by this is that he cares about his country and his freedom and he proved this by taking part in the Korean War. As are many veterans, he is extremely proud of this part of his life, and does not mind sharing stories about it with you. He served his country in a very active manner so that people like myself can have what we have today.
People like this deserve our help. While the man is getting up in years, it does not make anything he has done less important, and it does not mean that he deserves anything but the best from those around him.
What if I told you that in the coming years, and possibly months, this selfless and caring man may be denied medical treatment that may be necessary to prolong his life? You may be saying, “Well that could not be”. Let me share some facts with you.
In Europe, more expensive drugs and treatments with fewer side effects are reserved for younger patients, while older patients are forced to receive less expensive drugs with vastly more side effects. This is due to the “free” healthcare system.
Studies of kidney dialysis in Europe has shown that over 20% of dialysis centers in Europe, as well as over have of those in England, have refused to treat patients over the ago of 65!
Currently, the elderly in America already receive “universal healthcare” in the form of medicare. In the United States, a majority of the money is spent on the elderly versus younger patients. What this means simply is that we are going to be working our entire life, paying in on a system (universal healthcare) that will NOT benefit us when we need it the most.
And Europe is not the only place that has been destroyed by Universal Healthcare
Canada, too, is afflicted with this type of healthcare system. While the following story is about one particular person, there are hundreds more just like it.
A man began having constant headaches and declining vision. He was not at an age where his vision should be deteriorating this fast so he knew something was wrong. As it stands in America, this person would have been able to call the doctor and schedule an appointment. NOT true in Canada. This man was told it would be 4-6 months before he could see a neurologist. Not wanting to wait that long, the man decided to travel to Scottsdale, AZ to the famous Mayo Clinic. After conducting numerous tests, doctors determined that the man had a brain tumor which required immediate surgery. Not thinking that a doctor could turn away a man in his situation, he traveled back to Canada to complete the surgery. He was wrong. He was in effect told that he was now a number, and would have to get in line. The life of this man was not deemed “important” enough to save in a timely manner like he required. A little over a week later, the man traveled back again to Scottsdale and had the surgery.
This man is now a free market activist in Canada. He hopes that his efforts will eventually help Canada realize that their system is fatally flawed and will seek a change. Little did he know that the place he traveled to to save his life could quite possibly join Canada on the Universal Healthcare front.
President Barack Obama will stop at nothing to ensure complete government control over our economy, our healthcare, and our lives. Obama and the Democrats are concerned with one thing and one thing only– POWER. They want the power to save, and they want to the power to destroy.
They completely devalue liberty, freedom, hard work, success, self-reliance, and charity. They feel that we as citizens are incapable of taking care of ourselves and our families without their wisdom and assistance.
You may now be wondering why I told you about the gentleman at the beginning of the story. The reason I told you about him is because if we do not stand up and fight against the socialistic principles that the Democrats and Obama stand for, people like this will not receive the care that they may need, and the care that they deserve. It is because of people like this that Obama and his cronies have the ability and freedom to shape this country as they do, whether that is a good thing or bad thing. People like this are the reason I have the freedom to go to work each day, to go on vacation, to have a family, and to write this post. It is people like this that made sacrifices for future generations, and it is us that take this for granted each day. Men like this deserve to be taken care of until the bitter end.
If we allow the ObamaCare plan to make its way into our lives, that will be the end. The reasonable, selfless, appreciative members of Congress must stand up and figh against it. I do not want to live in a world like that. It is not a world where people care about each other and help each other out. It will be a world where people must fend for themselves just to simply survive. That is not the way I want it, and that is not the way that the people who created this country wanted it.
